Introduction:

  • We are a company specially set up to offer clients a prestigious safe and secure facility in respect of the management and eradication of a broad spectrum of pests.
  • We accept our commitments in respect of Health & Safety and security, and it is our intention where possible to exceed the minimum requirements of Health and Safety law.
  • We accept that this responsibility begins before we commence any activity and continues whilst on site, terminating at the time, and in some circumstances after, we have left a site.

Our Intent:

  • Prior to any activity commencing we shall appoint a competent person to carry out the assessment of the level, degree and nature of risks from identified hazards relative to ALL activities to be carried out. This will include such assessments as the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health, the provision and use of work equipment, Confined Space Working, Working at Height, Workplace Fire Regulations, Lifting operations and Safe Manual Handling Operations etc.
  • We shall pay particular attention to the fact that as a normal part of our activities we use pesticides. We realise the risks this can bring to people, animals and the environment that may, through bad procedures, become contaminated, seriously harmed or possibly terminally ill as a result of bad practices. Naturally therefore we will at all times do our utmost to ensure our safety policies are upheld with the due diligence they command.
  • In furtherance of this we shall employ only competent operatives or train new operatives to the point of what is considered in Health & Safety law to be competent persons.
  • We shall respect ALL Health & Safety commitments placed upon us whilst carrying out our activities. We shall continue this towards any security arrangements, serious and imminent danger procedures and environmental issues relative to respective sites. We shall ensure we do not put persons, property or equipment at extra risk of hazard whilst carrying out work activity on sites.
  • We shall furnish all persons concerned in all respects with suitable and sufficient information, instruction, training and where applicable supervision in all risks, hazards or aftercare relative to all processes or activities we are about to, are carrying out or will need to carry out on respective sites.
  • We accept that as a direct result of our pest control activities we may be leaving behind risks to Health and Safety that were not present prior to us undertaking our contractual commitment. This may be in the form of pesticides, monitor stations and possibly traps.
  • We shall at all times ensure that all the aforementioned are left in a manner that reduces risks of poisoning and contamination of persons, or animals that are not intended to be affected and any persons who may be affected (unexpected visitors etc.) are not put at risk, or if the risk cannot be eradicated then the risk is at its lowest possible level. We shall where possible remove dangerous substances to our own secure storage whenever it is possible.
  • We shall never leave a site in a condition where any serious and imminent danger procedures are infringed or diminished.
  • Where possible we shall leave all safety data sheets, copies of all risk assessments, any first aid requirements and an emergency telephone contact numbers for an NPC.
